Thank you for visiting and welcome to my website. I’m Rachel Watson Colour Consultant and Advanced Beauty Consultant with Colour me Beautiful. I’m passionate about helping people look their best through colour.
I’m a lover of colour! I have always been fascinated by the way people express themselves through their choice of hair style, clothing and make-up. For over a decade, I have been a successful, award winning Consultant in the well-being industry and really enjoy helping men and women feel and look their best.
Following a big personal life change, I had hit my forties and I was questioning who I was and where I wanted to be. I felt ‘stuck’ and I felt a disconnection between how I portrayed my image to the outside world and how I felt about myself.
After experiencing the services that I now offer, which were so liberating and a huge confidence boost for me, I felt the career of Colour Consultant was the right career path to take. I decided to train with the market leaders in colour and style, Colour me Beautiful and haven’t looked back!
I’ve previously worked in creative, community and corporate roles and have experience of advising clients and facilitating workshops, so Colour me Beautiful was the perfect match!
My aim is to pass on the feeling of confidence through colour and empower people like I have been.
With a nurturing and supportive approach, I enjoy working with a broad range of people and will make you feel very welcome and relaxed during your colour and image experience at my private studio in Pocklington, York.

About Colour me Beautiful – a lifetime of Colour
Formed in 1983, Colour me Beautiful are all about personal confidence and not only specialise in Colour Analysis, Body Shape & Style Consulting and personal shopping – they also offer a simply amazing range of bespoke cosmetics and skin care at sensible prices.
In previous years, many Colour Consultants categorised their clients by seasons, either Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. Not everyone’s colouring fits exactly into one of these four categories. As a result, colour wallets of clients who have been seasonally analysed might include some colours which just do not suit them and some of their ‘WOW’ colours may be missing. The world of colour analysis has moved on!
As a Colour me Beautiful trained Consultant, I use their recently updated six-themed system which takes into account the idea that as well as suiting different shades, people need to look their best. As a result, the number of possible colour palettes is significantly increased and more individually tailored to my clients.

Colour Review

Have you previously had a colour analysis done some time ago and think your colours may have changed? Maybe you’ve changed your hair colour? Then why not book a re-assessment of your colour pallet during a one to one colour review. During this session we will discuss and work on your make-up colours too. Replacement colour wallets are available to purchase for an additional cost if required.

Colour Confidence Workshop
“I’m crazy for colour. Colour embraces you. It wakes you up and keeps you present” – Tracy Reese
These are small group sessions and a fun, interactive introduction to colour. During the session, we will cover:
- Your colour type
- How to look healthy and well
- How to look younger
- Which 30 core colour shades suit you
- How to combine your neutral and fashion colours
- Make-up in your colour tones
- Just how life changing colour can be!
Each person will be able to try out new shades of make-up in the shades which suit them best using the Colour me Beautiful cosmetics. Take away your own Colour Swatch Wallet containing your 30 core colours which will help to guide you when shopping.

Colour Party

The ultimate girls night in! Get the girls together for a night in of fun and colour. A basic introduction to colour analysis, each guest will discover what their dominant colour pallet is and I’ll show you and your guests which make-up will makes their eyes ‘pop’ and which colour lipsticks will looks best. You will all enjoy experimenting with different shades of make-up that you may not of worn before, without looking too made up, I’ll show you how to look more youthful and some natural looks or a stronger evening look if you or your guests require this.
It will be such a fun event! Colour swatch wallets are not included but can be purchased for an extra cost if required.
Cost £25 per person minimum number of guests 3 and maximum number 8.

Make-Up Lesson

Feel stuck in a rut with your make-up routine? Have you been applying your make-up the same way for years? Maybe you’ve never worn make-up and would like to start? I can show you how to bring out the best of your features.
First I’ll use my Colour me Beautiful dominant colour swatches against your hair, skin and eye colour to determine your colouring for your make-up. Then we can discuss the look you’d like to achieve, I can create a day time or an evening look, the choice is yours! I’ll take you through the skincare and make-up application step by step and you will be encouraged to have a go too.
You’ll learn how to apply the products and I will record the colours, products, advice and tips in a beauty workbook for you, so you remember everything! I’ll advise you on the following:
- How to care for your skin using our vegan, organic and cruelty free range
- A fast and easy make-up routine
- Make-up colours that suit you and eye shadows that will make your eyes ‘pop’ without looking ‘made up’
- Make-up advice for day time, evening and special occassions
You’ll know your full make-up colour pallet and there will be no more buying what you don’t need or what doesn’t suit you.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions and this is a great way to breathe new life into your make-up look!

Talks & Presentations

As a fully trained and certified Colour Consultant with Colour me Beautiful, I give talks and presentations to a variety of groups and organisations.
My colour confidence talk consists of a PowerPoint presentation and will involve the help of 2-6 members of the audience to visually show the impact of wearing their best colours. The talk will last for approximately 45 minutes and will cover why colour is so important. The talk can be relaxed and focus on dressing to feel fantastic or it can be more formal and focus on dressing to create the right impression.
